Job Title: Psychologist

Job Summary: 

Northern Wellness Group is a rapidly expanding healthcare company dedicated to providing exceptional, holistic care. Our mission is to promote health and wellness in the most natural ways possible, with a special focus on supporting our Veteran participants. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations for clients. 
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results. 
  • Provide therapy using evidence-based practices, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and other therapeutic modalities. 
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in compliance with legal and ethical standards. 
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate care. 
  • Participate in case consultations and team meetings. 
  • Stay current with research and best practices in psychology and mental health. 
  • Provide crisis intervention as needed. 
  • Educate clients and families about mental health issues and treatment options. 

Qualifications: 

  • Doctorate in Psychology (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) from an accredited program. 
  • Active registration with the College of Psychologists of the province which you practice. 
  • Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic skills. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 

Preferred Skills: 

  • Experience with Veterans populations is an asset  
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care practices. 

 

COMPENSATION PACKAGE:  

$195.00 up to $200.00 per hour

Job Title: Psychotherapist

We are in need of enthusiastic, professional, hardworking and knowledgeable Psychotherapists to join our team on a full-time, part-time, or casual basis. Our mission is to help people achieve and maintain a higher level of health through natural means.

Responsibilities: 

  • Complete intake assessments for all new clients assigned directly to you via methods such as interviewing the client, obtaining relevant information, and gathering relevant social data if needed.
  • Formulate treatment plans with clients in accordance with professional practice standards and clinical policies.
  • Provide clinical mental health interventions in the context of evidence-based care/therapies to children, youth, adults and seniors through individual, family, couples and group therapy (based on experience and preference).
  • Complete case notes in the electronic medical records after each session.
  • Liaise with other professionals working with the clients (i.e. Doctors, case managers, dieticians etc.) on an as needed basis.

 

Skills and Abilities: 

  • Comprehensive knowledge of counselling/psychotherapy theory and practice.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct and document a comprehensive intake assessment.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct mental status exams and suicide risk assessments.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide direct client care, treatment planning, supportive counselling, crisis interventions and case coordination.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide individual, couples, family and/or group counselling.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and ability to work with mental health issues.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and ability to work with substance use and addictions treatment.
  • Knowledge and ability to manage crisis and crisis intervention.
  • Strong understanding and integration of ethical standards and practices.
  • Discretion and respect for confidentiality.
  • Knowledge and experience in providing culturally safe and competent care while demonstrating respect for diversity.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve and use critical thinking skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to deal effectively with conflict situations.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish workload priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively as a member of a clinical team.
  • Highly motivated and a self-starter.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Basic computer literacy skills to provide online counselling services via Telehealth and to operate the clients charts in an electronic medical record.

 

Qualifications 

  • Masters degree from an accredited program recognized by the College of Registered Psychotherapists in the province which you practice.
  • A minimum of 1 year related experience working in the field and providing direct client care.
  • Currently registered in good standing with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA)
  • Current criminal record check and vulnerable sectors check 

 

COMPENSATION PACKAGE: 

  • $90 up to $105 per hour
